About Lane
Lane Collins was born and raised in the foothills of North Carolina, where as an aimless teenager she was gifted a camera for her 17th birthday and started taking pictures. Watching her first print develop in the darkroom, she realized it was true love and went on to study photography at the San Francisco Art Institute. It was on a student trip to Ladakh, India with Linda Connor in 2005 that she first experienced real travel, and her life was forever altered. Lane graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in December 2005, and the following year moved to New Zealand, where she spent two and a half years making work and having many grand adventures. She returned to the States in 2009, and is currently living and creating in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

In addition to pursuing her personal projects, Lane is also available for commissions and freelance assignments. She has exhibited her photographs internationally. Please see the exhibitions page for further details.
